LM FORM is a design-led studio developing functional apparel and soft-structure systems from concept through production.
Founded by Lucas Miller, a sportswear designer at London College of Fashion, LUCAS F. MILLER draws on military and performance contexts, informed by Waldorf upbringing and agricultural work. The brand combines technical garment construction, material experimentation, and systems-based design thinking to develop performance-oriented apparel.

PATTERN DRAFTING + GRADING

Drafting from blocks or 1-to-1 rub-offs, digitized and marked. Nested grades, yield-optimized markers, fit and mobility corrections on live and digital forms.

PHYSICS-BASED GARMENT VISUALIZATION

Drape, stress, compression pressure, thermal drift, and aerodynamic drag simulated on lidar-scanned avatars or custom-rigged soft-tissue bodies. Validation in run, sit, stretch, and custom poses. Renders finished for line sheets and PDP.

SAMPLE ITERATION + DEVELOPMENT

Protos and size sets across wovens and knits, cut, sewn, and finished in-house. Lockstitch, coverstitch, overlock, flatlock, bartack/buttonhole, blindstitch, seam taper, ultrasonic welding, laser cutting, specialty elastic machines.

TECH PACKS AND PRODUCT LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT

Factory-ready vector flats. BOMs, colorways, toleranced specs, cutter's musts, construction callouts, manufacturing graphics, QA checkpoints. Linked to digital sample tracking and season/style libraries.

FABRIC SOURCING AND PROTOTYPING

Functional fabric and laminate/coating development: wet spinning, fiber twisting, sheet casting. Physical-to-digital fabric emulation. Mechanical characterization: abrasion, wash/wear, hysteresis, bend, conductivity, anisotropy, torque, weight, thickness, picks, gauge.
